Taylor and Jessica share a fierce obsession with Barbie dolls, their tiny hands constantly tangled in synthetic blonde strands during daily "salon sessions." Today’s playdate at Taylor’s house starts normally—Jessica’s mom sips coffee with Taylor’s parents downstairs while the girls raid the toy box. But boredom strikes fast. "What if we style *real* hair this time?" Jessica whispers, fingers tugging her own chestnut braid. Taylor’s eyes widen. Ten minutes later, ribbons, glitter gel, and three pairs of safety scissors (purloined from the craft drawer) litter the carpet. Giggles echo as they section each other’s hair into lopsided ponytails, but chaos erupts when Taylor’s mom walks in mid-"bang trim."
