Taylor’s kindergarten teacher, Doris, gave the class a fun project: each kid would plant something and track how it grows. Taylor couldn’t wait to start—she’s always loved colorful flowers! Let’s help her pick sunflower seeds. They’re bright, grow fast, and are easy for little hands to handle. First, grab a small pot, fill it with soil, and tuck a seed about an inch deep. Water it gently, then place the pot by a sunny window. Every two days, Taylor can sprinkle a bit more water and measure the sprout’s height with a ruler. Snap a photo each week to show the changes—tiny green shoots, then tall stems with big buds, and finally cheerful yellow blooms. Keep a journal with dates, measurements, and drawings. By the end, Taylor will have a sunny flower and a cool growth diary to share with the class!
