description

Hagi Wagi tightened the straps of his gear, shooting a determined grin at Kissi Misi. "Stay close—we leap together or not at all." The path ahead snarled with jagged cliffs, rivers of molten amber, and bridges woven from thorned vines. Kissi nodded, her fingers brushing the crystal pendant humming at her chest. They vaulted over the first chasm, landing hard as the ground crumbled beneath them. No time to falter. A swarm of shadow-wasps erupted from a fissure, stinging the air with venomous whispers. Hagi swung his luminescent blade, carving arcs of light to scatter them, while Kissi chanted a barrier spell, her voice slicing through the chaos. The thorn bridge swayed violently as they sprinted across, barbs lashing at their legs. Kissi stumbled—Hagi caught her wrist, hauling her forward just as the vines snapped. "Eyes on the spire!" he barked, pointing to the distant finish glowing through a haze of acid rain. They dove into a narrow crevice, escaping the downpour, only to face a labyrinth of mirrors reflecting a thousand fractured versions of themselves. Kissi pressed her palm to the glass, shattering illusions with a pulse of raw magic. "Left—always left!" she urged, trusting her instincts as the walls shifted. Emerging battered but unbroken, they faced the final gauntlet: a sheer obsidian wall crawling with electrified serpents. Hagi drove his spikes into the rock, scaling inch by grueling inch. Kissi climbed beside him, her gloves smoking from the searing current. At the peak, a serpent lunged—Hagi intercepted it, taking the shock through his armor as Kissi vaulted over him, seizing the victory flag. They crashed to the ground in a heap, laughter raw and triumphant. The finish line flared, etching their names into the sky. Together. Always.
