You watch in silent horror as Rod, the grinning ice cream seller, drags your friend Bob into his garish van. His hand glows with an unnatural frost, ice crawling over Bob’s limbs until your friend stands frozen, eyes wide with terror. Rod’s smile never wavers as he slams the van doors shut, engine rumbling. But this isn’t just about Bob. Other kids have vanished this summer, their laughter replaced by whispers of a white truck with candy-colored stripes. Parents dismiss it as fantasy, but you know better. Rod’s truck isn’t selling treats—it’s a cage on wheels. What does he want with the children? Where does he take them?
