Forced to scavenge, he upturned dusty cushions, pried floorboards loose, until a glint caught his eye: a golden key tucked behind a moth-eaten painting. Heart racing, he scrambled toward an old chest, its latch rusted shut. A coin, polished and cold, rested inside—the moment his fingers closed around it, the air crackled. Light erupted from nowhere, a swirling portal tearing through reality at the room’s center. No hesitation. He leapt through, the house vanishing behind him as wind roared in his ears. Next stop: a world where legends—and that sword—awaited.
